The cardamom is native to India & Indonesia and grown in tropical & sub-tropical climate zones.

Cardamom is of the ginger family known as ‘Elettaria Cardamomum- Green Cardamom’.

Cardamom has 3 varieties :

  • Black Cardamom
  • Green Cardamom
  • White Cardamom


Is broadly grouped into two categories :

  • Small Cardamom (Chhota Elaichi) or True Cardamom.
  • Large cardamom (Bara Elaichi.)
